my 08 2.0tq gets about 24/26 city and my best hwy was 30mpg on a road trip.
does the cvt get better mpg than the quattro?

also, iv only ever seen 10% ethanol. might have used some gas without it but didnt notice. iv lived in st louis mo and syracuse ny with the audi and gas quality seems the same. only use premium 91+ octane

efetta4, I too must be doing something terribly wrong. On my 06 2.0TQ AT A4 I'm pleased to break 400 per tank (70 litre), and I tend to drive with traffic (so, 70-75ish) on cruise control. Rarely doesn't my MPG read over 30, and it does that on mellow back roads when going 50 more than anything.

I'm comparing this to my 95 V6 FWD Mitsu 3000GT (manual) where I *regularly* got well into the low 30's MPG (550/tank, 75 litre) driving in pretty much the same way and I'm feeling very underwhelmed by my choice of "upgrade".

Sure, sweet ride all around, but the MPG is not what I expected.

you can regularly get around 28-30 if you coast in manual down the hills and really push for mpg in a quattro idk about fwd tho

Hmm.. I get 19-20mpg regular mixed driving, and about 24mpg highway... thats the best I can do on a 12v w/quattro.

lol I had a 02 Jetta before my B7 and kept taking it back to the shop saying something wrong with it...I lost about 1.5 to 2 mpg. It was only years later I found out that was about the same time they started putting that **** in gas

On the flip side, I cleaned my K&N filter the other day and my mileage is now even better than it was when the car was new

For your reference, I fill in 15.5 to 16.5 gallons per fill, get about 325 miles city and best of my recollection over 500 miles hwy...been a while since I made a trip.
