I have the same car as the 2nd one you posted minus the Navigation and mine had 28k and is certified by Audi for 100k and I paid $22900 for it. You should be able to get it down a little but not much.

The technology package from my understanding is so you can see on the display in front of the driver what the ave MPG is and some other stuff. Maybe someone else can chime in on what is all included in that. From what people say though its not really worth the cost. It has always been standard until the B7.

I run into the occasional snow and I love to go fast so I chose the Quattro. I plan on an ECU upgrade very soon.

 

I just bought a 2007 a4 quattro with 11,000 miles for $21,500. Fully loaded! Nice looking car,,, but the rough idle when you shift it into drive makes my teeth rattle and my *** vibrate. Hope yours is not the same. Good luck.

I test drove 3 2007 A4 2.0Ts and bought a 4th. They all did the same. Coming from driving a stick for the past 17 years it always feels like it's going to stall despite idling at 800RPM. I think it's just the way it is at least for everyone that I've driven.

In the one I actual bought, it feels like every small bump is a crater and it vibrates pretty bad about 70mph. It makes me feel a little sick to my stomach actually. To me it feels like the wheels aren't balanced or there's a bent rim and the shocks and/or struts are gone. It's a CPO with 16.5K on it. None of the other A4s I drove felt this way. I scooped this one w/o driving it since they had 2 identical ones just different color and mileage and the dealer I bought it at is about 2+ hours from my house. It feels worse than my Saab I trader with 140Kmi that needed a new strut and had 3 bent rims!

I chose 2.0T Quattro because I wanted the better gas mileage for the long commute as well as the AWD. I also felt like the 2.0T was fast enough and I've been driving a Saab 2.0T for the past 7 years and was always impressed with the acceleration and gas mileage. I can't say the 2.8L or 3.1L 6-cylinders cars accelerated any fast but I KNOW they got much worse mileage.

 

As for me, I find the vibration irritating. Car runs smooth after 1000 rpm. It just starts to shake when I come to a red light. My dog does that when its done something wrong....lol. Just find it odd that a nice vehicle like an Audi would do that. I checked with an audi specialist today and said he would try and increase the rpm at idle to see if it goes away. Something electronically he is going to do to advance the timing. Hopefully it works.... i will post the results in a couple of weeks.

 

I am being told by the dealer it is normal, but I have a buddy with the same car and his does not do it. So I don't know who to believe. Some do and some don't. I wish mine didn't!

 

I would recoman you the 3.2 FSI. You don;t have turbo = you dont have latency. The V6 from 3.2 FSI is more exciting than the 2.0 liters.
The exaust is very impresive and the 3.2 FSI has quattro.

But there are some minus too: the fuel consuption, the oil consuption and maybe the taxes

 

Yes the 3.2 ltr does not shake like the 2.0 ltr. and it has more power but reality is I a have the 2.0 turbo. Can';t change it now. I am going to try and get my mechanic to electronically program the RPM to idle at 1000. He is looking into it at this point to see if it can be done and if it solves the shaking. I will post my results in a couple weeks. Happy Motoring everyone!

 

I've had my 2.0T for only a week now I find I am already getting used to it. Every car has it's quirks and annoyances it seems.

 

i can't remember which of the other Audi forums that the rough idle on the 2.0 was discussed, but I do remember that somebody said that they got a VAGCOM and adjusted the idle up by 40 to 60 RPM and that solved quite a bit of the vibration. The idle can be adjusted at 10 RPM increments. I think the idle could only be adjusted no more than 120 RPM or so. Do a search on the web, you might find the post. Mine also vibrates at idle, and I have a manual not an automatic.
