I just purchased a 2.0t has 67,000 miles on it. Its a quat awd. I was driving home and all of a sudden the cel came on and started flashing and i could barley accelerate. I got my CEL checked and it said cylinder 4 misfire detected. CHanged the spark plug same issue. when pulling out that spark plug noticed alot of brown crap on the threads, on the tip and througout the cylinder. From reading on here i have been reading about carbon build up? is that what that is, noticed on the coil pack that there was some also, thinking that the coil pack is bad.... please help, pretty upset for only having for a week and a problem.

There was a coilpack recall for our cars. Call your dealer and see if that was performed.

 

agree as well... sounds like a coil pack issue, you should be able to take it to the dealership and they'll replace it free of charge.... it could potentially be the MAF sensor...
