Best way to remove water stains from chrome trim?

I agree with kantonm. White vinegar and warm water has always worked for me. You can use a warm moist cloth with a small amount of the vinegar on it.

Default the vinegar trick

is not working at all! Any other suggestions? I hate to resort to something like CLR but rubbing with white vinegar and warm water has not helped at all!!

The white vinegar and warm water did not work for me either. I heard that the aluminum is coated with a plastic so I tried a plastic scratch remover and buffed it with a microfiber ball/drill combo. It mostly looked better but I can still see some spots. I have put in some hours and elbow grease and still does not look new. I am giving up at this point unless someone comes up with a new chemistry......
