Audi sent me money
My 4th ignition coil finally went bad. all of them seemed to go bad on road trips, SUCKS!
I wrote them a letter bitching about their policy and what a PITA the whole process is, and they sent me a check for $68.70
So you never know how the factory may respond.

Audi does the right thing for sure. I paid for a PCV valve that went bad...it was repaired a total of 3 times. I send them the paperwork and they reimbursed me for the time i paid for the bad pcv (181 bucks)
This small stuff means a lot to me and that is why my family owns an a6 and a4. Son will get one when he can afford it.

Audi/VW is good about that kind of stuff. Multiple times VW ate the cost of a repair since it was a known problem, even though it was out of warrenty. That still didn't help that I spent way more on repairs on my 2000 Jetta GLX by 126,000 miles than I've ever spent on my 2006 A4 by 103,500 miles. $2300 vs about $340. This doesn't include scheduled maintenance. The only known issue I ate on the A4 was the diverter valve. It was out of warrenty, but had no service action on it.

Sure I understand you since when you have a car usually you need to pay for something in your car. Believe i do understand you and I know what is that. I found a good service that is helping me, it is like passive income since i am not spending a lot of time for that and I earn monthly around 100-150 dollars. The name of this service is yourmoneygeek. Believe me it's very easy, the tasks that you need to do is viewing website, passing surveys and playing games. I do that almost every evening.
