Adding Factory Navigation?
Is it possible to just slap a factory navigation unit into an 2007 A4 that wasn't originally equipped with it? I'm not talking about it physically fitting, more if it will it work. Is all the wiring present? I had asked the dealer about adding the HomeLink and they told me the antenna for the home link was in the bumper and if it wasn't equipped with it from the factory the wiring wouldn't be present. I wondered if that applied to the Navigation as well.
Thanks,
Slim

Yeah install is pretty much plug and play.
Check out http://www.navplus.us/forums/
Lots of info there including parts needed, install instructions, etc.

Thats what I wanted to know! How to incorporate the factory navigatoin system into my A4 possibly? Thats the best mod I want done out of all. Some times i have trouble seeing the paper map because i have purple interior dome lights (from superbrightLEDs.com) and they're sweet because my car's black. So the navigation screen that lights up would be perfect for me because i didn't think about it when buying my A4. That's why i want to know if there's a possible way to do it myself? Can someone let me know if I have to have the mechanics do it (Audi has the best technicians, they are polite), or if I can just do it myself. I'm going to look for one on eBay or call the dealer to find it somehow. How's the best way to locate the navigation materials with ease? Does the Audi logo (the olympic looking rings but only there's 4 not 5) appear on the nav screen when its idle?
