55k mile service
Hi guys, I purchased 2 years ago a "certified" A4 2.0 Quattro (B7.)
The first services were covered by the original 4 year warranty and I have kept bringing it to Audi after that so that the additional warranty does not get voided. Well, it was time for the 55k service so I drove it there and asked the service advisor for an estimate on this service. Well, I was hit with $649.00 and this is if they don't find anything wrong.
Is this normal? Any comments on continuing going to Audi for service?
Thanks

On Friday I had my car over at the dealer for a 50k "checkup" just to make sure nothing was wrong before losing the factory warranty. They did an oil change ($78) & flushed the brake line and put in new fluid. ($123). Total was $201.
They told me that the 55k checkup would run around $600, because they do the oil change, give it a tuneup (cap, rotor & wires), as well as changing some fluids. It sounds pricey, so I'm not really sure if I want to go that route. I'll have to find out if going to a local mechanic over the audi dealer would affect the extended warranty.
