OK, So as I have said in other posts I have a 2008 Special Edition Quattro on order. Does anyone have one yet? if so does it have paddle shift?
I saw one at work that was the A4 with them. It had the S line badge on the grill but not on the side. As far as I can tell all 08' have the S line grill.
Just wanted to put it out there. When I talked to the guy at my local Audi dealer who also does APR he told me that he thought that it would have the paddle shift.
Just looking to find out the answer.
Anyway I have the car on order (still) and have the money set aside for APR Tuning, APR exhaust W/ test pipe, and larger fuel pump.

Says herethat althoughthe SE has the "visual appeal of the standard S line exterior," looks like theTiptronic paddle shifters are only part of the S line package optional upgrade.

I agree with you, Audi hasn't been exactly clear regarding what's included with the SE, or even what options are available -- cold-weather packageapparently isn't available, to get the headlight washers. Probably because they put in the heated leather seats with the quattro.

 

I got my 2008.5 Special Edition 3 weeks ago in Brilliant Black.

It comes with:

-S-Line Y-Spoke Rims

-The leather is apparently a little better
-Heater Seats
-12 months of Sirius (Though I am having trouble with this, Sirius only has 3-months in their records so I have to call the dealer and sort things out)


Mine was also equipped with the iPod adapter in the glovebox as a option for $250.

All 2008 A4s with the automatic transmission come with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. That should help you all.

All 2008 A4s come standard with the "S-Line" exterior body treatments (front grill, front/rear bumper, rear boot lid spoiler, side door sills) but not the interior, wheel or suspension improvements unless you order the actual "S-Line" package.

The 2008 SE A4 models, seeing as the above items are standard, will include those said items.
