2008 A4 A/S tires
I will be looking to purchase a set of new tires for my 2008 A4 Quattro. Currently, I have the ContiProContact tires, I'm wondering if anyone else has these and what they think of them in winter weather. Also, does anyone run different brand tires. Thoughts?

I have Dunlop Fierce on my A4. I put them on my previous car and was so happy with them I bought them for my A4. They work well on both dry and wet pavement and I have driven them through some snow and felt they provided good traction.

i had the factory pirelli p-zeros on my car before and really liked those, great traction, quiet, and long lasting (at least for me)
now i have some cheap firestone precision sport, i think, and they are decent. they are good all season and have lasted really well but are a little bit louder than the pirellis. but i was strapped for cash and got them for under $100 a piece about 12-18 months ago.

Thanks for the information. I do not want to spend too much, but I do not want to replace in 12-18 months either. Tough decision, I probably have a month or two.

Thanks for the information. I was looking at Perelli's but everytime I look at any tire I see a few reviews that are bad. It's hard to figure out which ones to believe or not. I'm looking at some Bridgestone Potenza 970AS for 150. Also looking at cheaper Kumho ASX's for around 87. I suppose I will just go to the store and see what my options are for the A4.

I have Nitto Motivos on my car and they're pretty good and have a 60k treadwear warranty, but I'm not sure they're A/S--probably more performance oriented.
When I got the Nittos I really wanted the Pirelli P7s, but they weren't available in my size yet. They should be now--check them out. They make All Season and All Season Plus versions (not sure what the Plus gets you).
