Default 2008 A4 3.2 Quattro hesitation?

I recently bought an '08 A4 and noticed the acceleration from a stop (and sometimes while moving) is not very smooth at all. It almost feels like a hesitation while the car shifts from 1st to 2nd. Its my first audi, so, i'm not sure if there is something wrong with my car to where I should take it in...or, if its supposed to drive this way. Its not as pronounced when i'm at speed and the car goes from 4 to 5, etc. But, at lower speeds and especially from 1 to 2, I really notice the shifting between gears. Seems weird that an automatic would feel this way.

You know, I have a '06 A4 2.0T Quattro w/ automatic and I notice the exact same thing. Only between first and second gears the shift is very jerky. I have also heard this from another owner of a 2.0T w/ automatic. I can't explain why this happens, but I think this problem may not be unique to your car.

I just bought an '06 A4 3.2 and notice the same thing. It only hesitates if I accelerate slowly, if you step on it, it shifts without hesitation.

This is my first Audi as well, so maybe it's normal?

could be a solenoid issue....maybe getting worn or something that would cause a jerkiness in a shift change in an automatic car

Even on a car that's only about 6 months old?

solenoid is an easy enough fix that the mechanic at the shop should have no problem checking out but it does seem early haha

sorry i was looking at the 06 a4 that was also having a similar issue but to be honest i wouldn't totally rule it out

I had mine checked out today by a tech and he said the hesitation was normal for that car...evidently he has an older Audi that does the same thing.

hesitation is never normal an autotragic tranny should shift seamlessly end of story....keep pushing, the tech clearly didn;t wanna get under the car (just wait until ur out of warranty and then all of sudden that very normal hesitation can translate into a **** ton in tranny work)
