Default 2007 3.2L bad gas mileage

Hello,

I just joined this site yesterday due to the purchase of a 2007 A4 3.2L with 19,500 miles on it.

I live in Philedelphia. So 90% of my driving is done in the city. But is 10 miles per gallon accurate? That's what I seem to be getting.

I don't push the car or go crazy on it. I also use premium gas. I understand it may be this way because of the cold, but 10 seems a little too low. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Also, if anyone can recommend a good mechanic around the Philadelphia area, that would be much appreciated as well.

I have the 2007 2.0T, but I also started seeing low mileage at around 20K (not as
low as 10 mpg though). Turned out the PCV valve went out. This doesn't throw a CEL
either.

Thanks. I will look into it. I'm in the process of finding a reliable mechanic in the area. By any chance, do you remember how much a PCV valve will run &/or installation cost?

Mine went bad under warranty, the dealer changed it for free. Don't know
how much it costs.

The 3.2L breather is not the same as the 2.0 because the 3.2 is normal aspirated.

The 3.2L doesn't usually have fuel consumption issues. I'd fill up the tank a few times and record the amount of miles its takes before the warning light comes.

Those numbers in the display are estimated numbers not actual
