2006 a4 2.0 throwing intake check engline light
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forums and have been reading here for awhile but never posting. I've wanted an Audi for awhile and finally purchased a 2006 a4 2.0t quattro with 25k mikes. I've had it for about 3 weeks and the check engine light started coming on and off as I was driving today. The dealership was closed but I went to autozone and the 3 codes that came up were:
1.intake manifold runner control
2. Intake runner posistion sensor
3.fuel pressure regulator performance
Does anyone know what could be causing this. I'm kind of wondering what to expect at the dealer on monday when I bring it in. Any help is appreciated.

If you are mechanically inclined you can pull the cam follower and see if it is damaged and if it damaged the camshaft. If only the follower then it is not to big a deal to replace . If the cam is bad then you have a bigger problem. You might want to check with a dealer to see if this would be covered under the recent warranty extension . Good luck.

I just heard about the warranty extension that went into effect back in march/april time for the cam follower problem. It's for 10 years from original service date of the vehicle or 120,000 miles. My only question is does this apply to people who bought their vehicles used.

I didn't assume that it was the cam follower at first being that the car only has 25k+- on it. The reason I think its cam follower is because the codes that it are throwing are the same one multiple people have gotten that ended up being the cam follower and pump.
