2.0l Avant slow off the line
I have a 2006 Avant, non turbo 2L petrol with the 7 speed CVT. It is very slow to get going from a standing start, a bit like the clutch system is very slow coming in. I did have a 2005 2L Diesel Turbo with the same G/Box for a short while and that woiuld spin its wheels off the line. I know it had a bootful more torque but it doesn't see right.
Any suggestions? Great car, love it but nearly got hit at a roundabout the other day when it just wouldn't get going.

Your non-turbo 2.0L is only producing about 130 HP, whereas the 2.0 T puts down 200 HP. And I imagine the 2.0 TDi also puts out gobs of torque, especially at the low end.
The CVT is a little slow from a stop... I've found that it's best not to put full throttle right away, that seems to get it moving a little better. But there's not a whole lot you can do to a non-turbo car (short of putting on a turbo or nitrous).

Thanks for the help, I was hoping that there may be something that would tighten up the response of the box but I guess I will live with it and remember to leave that extra room in the traffic.
