Default 1/4 mile.....14.09

So stock A4 runs 1/4 mile at 15.9 seconds I think. My best time yesterday was 14.09. Now, this being said, I want to mention that I wasnt even prepared for that. When I went there I had almost a full tank of gas, I had a **** load of stuff in my trunk and my tires werent properly inflated for drag race. I think that I could easily run 13.5 seconds next week when I go back. Here is what I am gonna do. I will take the back seat off, may be the front passenger seat too but I am not sure how much of a pain in the *** it is, I will empty out my trunk, I will get rid of the jack and spare tire, I will get rid of all carpets and mats as much as I can, I will go there with an empty tank of gas and get some race gas. Actually I can switch my chip to race gas too so that will work out great. Also, I am not sure about this yet, but if I get rid of the flexpipe so there is no restriction do you guys think I can do some damage? Also I will make sure tires are properly inflated. What is the best way to launch? Some say it is between 3000 and 3200 rpm. Others say it is around 2500. Will this mess up the differential? I got lots of compliments on my shifting, my best reaction time was 0.21 so if i can figure out the launching and if i lose 125 lbs and get the right gas do you think 13.5 is doable?

Reaction time has nothing to do with your time. It helps you win the race but does not effect time. The true test is your 60 foot time. If you are AWD you need to be in the sub 2.0 range for any reutable times. I would say launching ahrd enough to pull a 1.8 at least as a minimum.

You Need to launch the hell out of that car. The best launch is one where ther is no bogging and when you leave te line you are already in full boost.

So what were the 60 foot times and ending MPH? I would have defineately thought mid 13's with your mods.

Oh and definately run the race gas program with the race gas. It will give you an extra 18 or so HP at stage 1. You will be able to tell even more being stage 2 +.

Give your car time to cool between runs as heatsoak is common in the intercooler and it will not cool anything.

From what I've heard, it is an absolute pain to remove the back seat.

I also don't really understand why anyone would want to go through all of that trouble...

Whatever RPM you launch at, make sure all four wheels spin...otherwise it will be your clutch spinning...

60 foot times were between 1.72 and 2.02. Top speed is between 99 and 102. yea I think I can actually do mid 13's if I get prepared.

Race gas and 200 lbs. lighter would net you around 13.8 seconds in the quarter mile. You would have to remove 400 lbs to make it to 13.5. Time will tell though, 14.2 is a pretty good time.

What is the flexpipe? Are you talking about detaching part of the exhaust? If so your exhaust is fine enough.

You just need to work on launching hard as hell and get rid of any extra crap weight. I personally am a believer of not stripping everything and prefer to run as I would on the streets.

Start saving for a turbo is all I can say if your need for speed is still not satisfied. I really want the new B8 S4. That supercharged 3.0 is a monster with no tuning. Add a chip and change the pully and that car is gonna be sick. I'll probably pick one up in 2 years when the wife is due for a trade in. I always trade when the CPO warranty runs out at 100K.
