So I just got home from work and i began hearing a weird grinding rubbing noise comming from under the car when I turn my wheels BOTH directions........From what i know and what I have searched for and read here already it is the cv boots or tie rods......is it just one or both of them? I am going to get up under the car to visually inspect it tomorrow b/c i dont have time today haha.........could it also be the ball joints maybe too? As always thanks for the help

 

so i just got home again and this sound is only when i turn slowly or even when i tap the brakes slightly when i begin moving.....almost sounds like worn brake pads but it def not b/c they are new and its comming from under the car.....and it does make the noise slightly whatever way i turn the wheel.

 

Just to update this morning when i went it the car was fine! as i said before this just came out of nowhere so i believe it was just stuck brake pads as it sounded like rubbing brakes the whole time....searched and i guess some others had this problem too haha

 

Look at your pads. If they are ok, then it is something else. Did it get harder turning the steering wheel?
