Why would my new clutch slip???
I have a new Valeo OEM clutch installed in my A4 B6 at the same time I did the timing belt and accessories that go with it about a month ago. When I drive the car for extended periods (ie not to the store and back more like some stop and go traffic and then 20-30 miles of interstate). Any way, my clutch slips! When I am on the interstate and I have to back off the gas and then accelerate again the RPM's start going up with out the vehicle accelerating and it is the clutch slipping. The more I drive it after it starts to do it the worse it slips. I almost didn't make it home earlier. What would cause that? Its a new clutch... Is there something mechanic could have done wrong? Please help..

It has a new dual mass fly wheel (I think its dual...I know its an up graded version). Anyway, I took it to the guy down the street and he said it was a hydrolic issue. He has installed clutches on several VW's. He said some try to adjust the hydrolic rod too much and it will slip when warm in the higher gears. Weird sounding, but he sounds like he knows the problem.... I hope!

This clutch has been in for a month and it has already burned up. I don't know if Valeo will warranty it or not. I have not abused it at all. I tell ya, the Audi's are a blast to drive but a pain in the *** to maintain. It looks like only the clutch disk will be the only thing that will have to be replaced. The *** hole thatdid it the first time didn't replace the main seal in the tranny and it is leaking. I just did the timing belt and other stuff so I'm in too deep now....

I took it today t the shop to get the clutch done again. Not on my dime I might add. I wish I knew what caused the problems for this to burn uo so quick. I almost didn't make it to Atlanta to the shop today. Slips real bad in 3rd, 4th, and 5th... I guess we'll se what happens!
