Who's not had any problems?

I bought mine from ECS Tuning
The differences between the stages are only what included. The actual coilpacks are the same in all three and they all come with gaskets and bolts for the packs. Stage 2 include a heat shield and stage 3 inludes the shield and a set of spark plugs.

Hitachi's technically no longer exist. Beru bought the Hitachi's. So, also serch for Beru. Or search for bolt down coilpacks and 1.8t.
Berus are identical to what the Hitachis were. Some places still have Hitachis sitting around. There is no difference. Beru just slaps a sticker on them saying "Beru".
You can find them cheaper than ECS. Search on audizine.com or post on the B6 forums there to see where the cheapest place these days might be. Last time I heard, each pack shouldn't be more than in the mid $20 range.
Both VW and Audi dealers should still sell the bolt-down coilpacks that are essentially hitachis. They were used on early B5's and VW's. I just don't know the part number.
Also, on your current OE packs, make sure the last letter of the part number is "R". If it is any other letter, you don't even have the latest revision of the OE packs. Many claim the R revision helped the problem. My preferrence is to just got Hitachi/Beru, since too many were burned (pardon the pun) on the earlier OE revisions.
I would find it hard to believe that Napa or your auto body guy are ordering the latest revision.
Oh, and OP... don't want to burst your bubble, but a B6 1.8t stock is no where near 190bhp.

I bought my A4 with 40k miles and it now has 75k... I havn't had to replace any coilpacks or anything for that matter except for the usual maint. stuff like oil, filters, tires, etc... I'm now getting ready to do the timing belt service which is generally around $1,000 bucks... So be prepared for that if you havn't had that done... But other than that I have had no other issues with the car. Love it!

I have no idea. maybe they werent the new version? i will see when i swap the old ones for the hitachi's. or it wasnt the right part in general. i just called up NAPA and asked for some coil packs, they didnt ask for make VIN or anything. I am sick now though and im not going out to my car just to do that, even though it is like the easiest replacement possible.
