My daughter has an 03 A4 Cab 3.0. She just replaced the tires and the guys at Discount Tire said her upper control arms need replacing on all 4 wheels. I don't know if they meant the entire arms or just the bushings. Anyway, other than the dealer, does anyone know a good (inexpensive) place to have this done in the L.A. area (WLA preferred). Or, is the $700 quote by Discount Tire a good deal? BTW, she never complained about squeaking. Is there another way to determine if, in fact, they are bad? They told her the car would be "undrivable" soon if she doesn't get it done.
