i just posted a similar topic. Responses included getting an APR chip which is about $500. Adds 30 hp and is well worth it.

Still looking around but looking at this.

Actually that won't really do much on the 3.0. Chips are much more effective with turbo engines like your 1.8T than naturally aspirated ones like the 3.0 V6. I don't know much about the reliability of the supercharger option, but in my limited reading on the subject, it seems like it's about the only way to really make big power out of the 3.0.

3.0s just drop it tint it wheels and call it a day. Not much else u can do that a 3.0 that wont hurt it down the road.

Wet or Dry NOS system? How many horses per shot would you think its safe? I have a 2003 Avant w/ triptronic and I'd love a few more ponies out of that 3.0 engine to make it feel more "masculine"...

I was going to buy a 3.0L and put in a build 2.7T block with turbos. Should be quite a monster when done, because the 3.0L had the best heads out of any of the V6 cars

Then why do all the 2.7t owners go with the 2.8 heads?

Because they aren't starting out with a 3.0L that has a completely different harness...
