Default what is this gaping hole?

I've been smelling oil burning for a couple days, and I finally investigate and find this! Can someone identify this tube for me? A part # would be great! It looks like it's coming from the oil filter housing/bracket assembly, but I didn't have time to dig in and find out.

It's an 02 1.8t

Hahaha, thats part of the crankcase breather system. If that one hose is that bad you should think of getting all of them done. If you purchase the 1.8T sludge kit from audi it will come with that pipe.

I couldn't find much info about this sludge kit.. the thing is I just want to sell the car, so I don't really want to get into valve cover gaskets, etc.. whether or not it may need them. I just want to replace that hose.. so does anybody have a part number for it? or at least a specific name?

wuz up guys? well i just replaced that pipe it cost $62 it's the engine emissions pipe. you will not find it anywhere else but AUDI dealership. your manifold has to come off and any other hose or cable in its way. i replaced it as i was rebuilding my engine. mines was cracked as well. i will look for my recipt to give you a part number.

I bought mine from ecs tuning. My tech replaced it without removing the manifold.

I know this post is old but just thought I would post the info I have because i am getting ready to tackle this myself. It is hard to get at but it can be done without removing the intake as stated above.I'll try to take some pics as i do it.

Part # is 06A-103-213-F. Audi gets 85 bucks for it but if you google the part# you will find it for less than half. Just remember to get the O-ring also. Part# for that is N-904-673-01.
