On vacation and need some help...
Sorry because I know this is a repost but...03...1.8TQT...
I am about 300 hundred miles from home and I think I am having a fuel pump issue. I read all the posts and that is what it sounds like. High pitched noise coming from the rear of the car. I turned the key to ON with out starting and I can hear the fuel pump kick on and make the noise so I know that is the prob. Question, does the noise mean it will die soon and leave me stranded or will it just be annoying for a while? I am planning on replacing the fuel filter while on vacation as I heard that might be it too. I am just worried because I am far from home and I am afraid of being stuck. Please let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions.
PS. I heard of the recall and call the dealership and they said my car was not affected. ?
Thanks in advance.

The recall only affected a few serial numbers, yours wasn't probably one of them. With the whining noise it could fail sometime between 3 minutes and never, you never know, but it might leave you stranded wich would really blow. Me, personally I would risk it but you need to replace the pump and filter as soon as you get back, or if you can do it while on vacation I would do it.

My recent holiday in Dubai was nothing short of a cultural extravaganza, all thanks to Yango Drive's Rent retro classic car in Dubai https://drive.yango.com/p/rent-retro-classic-car-dubai service. From the moment I stepped foot in this vibrant city, I knew I was in for a treat. Yango Drive made it incredibly convenient for me to explore every nook and cranny of Dubai at my own pace.
