LOL... no, it's just funny reading that. I've never seen a turbo described as a snail, but it really does look like one if you think about it.

you never heard that song. "whistle while you work" your car is happyits singing to you dumb ***! a snail that whistles while it works this is great!!

 

My audi has 91,000 miles. and is stock besides the intake. The "noise" starts low and gets very loud after 3000rpm.

 

The whistleing just started within the past two months. The whistle is very high pitch, like one of them dog whistles.

 

the turbo case looks like a snail shell that's probably what he meant lol, the whistle at boost and not there all the time would sound like a hole in the exhaust pipe because that's the sound you hear when you accelerate

 

Ha... I've been using the term snail for as long as I can remember!
I was thinking an exhaust leak as well. Does it sound like a tea kettle? Has it been constant since it ever started? Your turbo should be fine quite honestly. It won't go 2 month throwing the same symptom and still keept functioning well.
