Default Turbo making weird noises

Hey people,

Around 2 weeks ago, my turbocharger began making weird noises; once properly heated, it begins emitting a hollow, low-pitched whistle as it turns on at around 1800rpm, (similar to that of a blow dryer) accompanied by a faint rattling sound.

The noises stop at around 2000rpm and the turbo appears to be functioning normally until the rpm hits around 3500 when a faint scent of burning oil can be smelled in the interior.
The car's performance doesn't seem to be affected, but the RMP is slightly bumpy (climbs a little too fast between 1800 and 3500 and then normalizes).

Also note that I've previously replaced my turbocharger after my old one got busted and began burning oil. Once replaced, the RPM's bumpiness and the smell of burning oil started, but my mechanic assured me that it was probably just a faulty oil filter.

Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?
Thanks

More like the second actually, but the sound stops once the rpm hits 2000.

btw, the car also emits huge quantities of bluish-white smoke every time i change/add oil, the turbocharger went haywire and barely worked for around 5 hours after I added some oil to the engine the other day. It normalized only after several hours of driving but the noise is still there.

My guess is you'll be in the market for a new turbo SOON.

I had blue smoke during idle after an oil change today. Then I got a CEL (haven't pulled the code yet). Then I got white sweet ((&*$#(*&%W#) smelling smoke when I put it in gear.

Could changing the oil have something to do with it?

^^^ I would stop driving it and check all your fluids, you are missing at least one quart of oil and a bit of G12 coolant.
