Triptronic Issue/insite
First off I am new to this forum and hope to be some sort of help in the future once I get to know my car more. What I have is a 04 A4 with Triptronic in DG.
My questions and/or issues and/or Insite is/are
First: What model is my Triptronic
Second: The best explination I can give based on what it is doing. Upshifts seem to do a double shift but only 2-3 upshift. Example: Taking off from dead stop shifts to 2nd almost instantly, then 2 to 3 does this what I can only explain as a double shift where is feels and sounds like it is shifting to third gear with a drop in RPM and all but then it still isnt in third, a half a second later it does it again and then it shifts into 3rd. Now if I really get on it, say floor it from dead stop, it does not do this on the 2-3 upshift.
Third: When comming to a stop, not always but Usually it will SLAM into first just before the car comes to a complete stop.
Fourth: This one goes along with second and third. If these are some sort of valve body issue, iss there some sort of additive that I can put in to help the valve body free up movement? I ask this knowing that Audi / VW are unique, but I have used this stuff called TransMedic in other vehicals that had a different kind of issue where it did not want to upshift, unless you played with the throttle @ high RPM, and adding this to the tranny pretty much eliminated the issue within 200 miles.
Fifth: I am also noticing that it takes a second to go into reverse.
I know I put alot of questions in one post but they all have to do with the same thing. Thank you all for any help/insite you may offer me.
