timing belt questions

Default timing belt questions

HI i was wondering if there is any way to check your timing belt and see if it has to be replaced, since i'm student i don't have the money just to spend it if is not need it anything helps thanks ....

what mileage are you at? look for witness marks on the hardware for procedure.

it's at 92k but i just bought it and want to make sure about the timing belt, and what do you mean witness marks on the hardware for procedure sorry, but i don't know Sh..t

Just take off the timing belt cover, and look at the outside of the belt. If it has white marks on it worn into it from the pulleys it needs to be changed. Chances are it hasn't been changed.
