Default Sugestions on broken down 04 A4

I been reading a lot of different threads and from the looks of it, this could be the CVT took a crap on me or I need to reflash the computer, but I'm going to post to see if you guys have a different opinion or option. The other day I'm driving down the highway and i hear this humming noise, then the battery warning lights up,(battery is only a year old aftermarket from Autozone) All of the sudden my dashboard lights turns off completely, 4 minutes after that, the car stalls. I go take the battery back they recharge it, but it didn't take the charge, battery went bad,so they gave me a new one, once I install the battery car turns on fine, but.... it wont move, when i hit the gas, it doesn't respond properly you step on it full throttle and it barely revs, does not go into any of the gears, and my dash board looks like an xmas tree.

I have not found a decent mechanic in the south Florida area (miami) and im scared of taking it to the dealer, (The collection).

The car has 59k miles is an 2004 A4 1.8T

Any suggestions/help would be gladly appreciated.

Thank you.

Check all the fuses and have your alternator checked. If your lucky it will be something simple.
