stumped still getting code for cam timing.

Ugh the code still comes back. Only thing left I can think of is the chain is stretched

is it true the audi have massive electrical problems? It seems as tho codes are audi owners worst nightmares.... Im looking to buy and audi maybe but dont know if its really a good deal since all the problems

Have you checked all your vaccuum lines? I had a really bad leak that caused the motor to pull back timing but because of the leak it wouldnt reach the setpoint and was throwing that very same code, also motor sounded like death and got tons of misfire codes but all thats cleared up now with my new suction pump on the backside of the intake mani

are you talking about ignition timing? the issue i have is cam timing codes.

i am aware ignition timing is correlated to cam timing
I replaced the suction pump and smoke tested the car, nothing showed signs of leak except the bov.

also when i log cam timing in VCDS on measuring blocks 90-93 it shows 0 to -1(hops around) for timing.

i would think if the chain in streched u would hear a noise inside the cabin from it being loose.
