Olstyn, don't quit asking questions man. Some people are douche bags and your question seemed legitimate to me. Either way, plastic or metal it's going to get changed out again when the next t-belt is due. Although on my first b6 the impeller came apart at 47K original...

I wasnt trying to be a douche, but i guess i came across that way. I was 100% truthful in my responses and because that wasnt what the OP wanted to hear i was called rude. Its always good to ask questions (unless the question has been answered before and you can find that answer), but dont get upset when the truth doesnt fit with what you wanted to hear.

You were called rude because you told me to perform fellatio on my mechanic - I have a hard time understanding how that could be considered anything but rude. It had nothing to do with the informational content of your posts.

For the record, what you said, information-wise, was not "not what I wanted to hear," it was just different from what I had heard from a person I have previously had zero reason to doubt. I didn't try to invalidate your experience. I only relayed what I was told in person and suggested that the person I was dealing with had had different experience than yours. You seem to have taken personal offense to that and/or decided that I was an idiot, neither or which was appropriate.

That said, perhaps we can just agree that it was an unfortunate exchange and move past it? I'm willing to forgive and forget if you are...
