Does the car have stock HID's, or are they aftermarket?

Most likely they're aftermarket and one of the little balasts came off, check on your headlight for obvious wire problems to see if you find anything visually wrong with it.

u know how to take our your headlight right. If not heres how to http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page...earcorner.html. If u have ahole in the cover for ur lights then u are aftermarket. If it looks the way it does in the diy pic then u are stock.

well Im new to this car and I know it has alot things on it ... its stock HID's .. I took the headlight off today didnt find any burnt wiring and it hasnt did it since .. I think i know what the problem is tho ..I flickered the high beam on and off by accident and i think thats wat caused it to smoke randomly like that idk .. I just bought this car ill post pictures on it later .. I had a mustang gt and i wanted something new that nobody around nj has ..

so when u flick ur highbeams the smoke comes out. Could it be the bulb has dirt of grease on it and is burning up. when the car is smoking can u open the hood and pinpoint or even snap a pic to get a better idea of what it could possibly be>?
