well if anyone is interested, it was door wires loom in the A pilar, hence windows closing sigal was intermitent and comfort module was not receiving a correct signal and because of that the roof was not working.

I use my top up/down mech. almost daily. It has worked bis dato, perfectly. Yesterday, headed home, top needs to go down...I (stupidly...was in a hurry) pushed the "All windows down switch" AND pulled the top down switch at the same time...result? Windows went to half mast, Nox Vidmate VLC AC went off, top did NOT come down...and, Warning light and irritating ppeeeeeeeeep tone and warning light. Went to do the manual reset thing...NO KEY! Idiot prior owner lost it
