Default Replacing hydrolocked motor

I hydrolocked during a recent flash flood, so I am replacing my ruined 3.0 with 85,000 miles with a used motor with fewer miles. During the process, I thought I should have the shop install a new timing belt. Is it worth it to also replace the water pump? What else should I have the garage check or replace in the process?

You want to replace the water pump when replacing the timing belt, because if you have to replace the water pump later you will end up having to remove the timing belt.

Get a timing belt kit from Blauparts or ECS which includes waterpump, all the tensioners, new serpentine, thermostat, etc. Do it all at once as most of the cost is labor (~ 6 hours worth).
