Rear brake light, 04 A4 Cab
The passenger side rear brake light is out on my 04 A4 Cabriolet. I am a complete newb when it comes to this stuff. Could someone provide some guidance on how to change the bulb? Can I buy a new bulb at an Auto Parts store? Will the "Brake Light Out Warning" automatically go away once changed, or do I need to do something else additional to remove the warning?

Hi. Did you manage to replace your bulb?
Its a little tricky, yet simple! Theres a plastic cover over one bolt on the inside. Once this is removed it would appear there is another to undo but at this point its only held in by a push on gromit on the other end (on the inside obviously). So what is required is to gently prise the light cluster away from the bodywork rear panel. This idealy done using something like a steel ruler covered in duck tape. So to clarify - when looking at the car side on - prose form the right most of the cluster. It should pop out. You can then replace the bulb, usually about £1.
The warning light should reset itself - sometimes after driving a few miles it will clear.
All the best.
