Radio stops working then works again???

Default Radio stops working then works again???
'02 A4; radio will stop working while listening...all lights/display seem to be OK; if I turn the car off for a while, it will work again...what's up?

is it the base system or bose?

also, the radio is still showing its on and no sound is coming out?or everything is just shutting down?

I think it's the bose..not sure. When playing normally, just shuts down, no lights or sound. Will only turn back on after car is off for a period of time...

Bose systems sometimes cut out, I think is something with the amplifier but I haven't tackled the problem myself.
