Ive just bought an ipod integration kit and radio removal keys for my car. Due to the terms that i bought these on, they ship at different times. the keys just shipped today and my ipod int. just got here today! Me being impatient, i tried to use bent paper clips to remove, but didn't work.

How hard do i need to pull to remove the radio? Any other suggestions from those who have done this without the removal keys?

 

Before I had the removal keys I took a small piece of flat steel and filed it down to the approximate shape. I only did one and this worked by cycling through each of the 4 slots on the radio, pulling out slightly and moving to the next one without letting it pop back into the locked position. Using the proper keys was alot easier of course :-)

 

haha i was thinking about making my own key but got a tip from a fellow audizine'r about the tool at walmart. turns out he was right and i got the keys for $4
