question on coolant tank, tried searching no luck
Hey folks, first time posting.
So I found a crack in my coolant tank, and its leaking coolant, so I want to get it replaced. I'm going to call the dealership in the morning to see if they have one in stock so i can pick it up. I read somewhere that the 2001 VW Passat is pretty much the same car, more or less, would it have the same exact shaped coolant tank if Audi didn't have one in stock. Also are there any like other items i need with the new replacement tank, like pins or needles or rings or whatever. Oh and flushing the coolant, is it the same method as a B5 or are there any differences, i believe i saw a right up of one but i think it was B5 or some other Audi. Thanks for the help if anyone can provide any. Looking at it now that does seem kind of long winded, its late what can I say. Thanks.

Flushing it as you would in a B5 works fine. For the tank check www.fcpgroton.com (got mine there for a good price, around $25). You will only need the tank and a new cap (cap makes sense for the new seal).
