okay, i have recently purchased an audi a4 2002 1.8t manual... the mods that i can tell is:
lowered (looks like h&r coilovers)
exhaust (neuspeed)
boost gauge (podi gauge pod with VEI digital vac/boost)
BOV (unknown)

my question is... how can i tell what brand this BOV is?

also, how do i know if my car has been chipped or not? I've not owned an a4 before, so I don't have a clue what the base should feel like...

I would like to do some upgrades, but i don't want to redo stuff or keep things that are unnecessary

 

how much boost does it make?

 

around 15psi

what-what... i have a forge splitter, from the looks of it.

 

That doesn't look like the splitter...Could it be the 007?


p.s. If you're boosting 15 psi you are most likely chipped.

 

oh, okay. that is my mistake. I assumed that Forge only had the DV/BOV Splitter... i agree, it is like the 007, which is bada$$ because that is Bond's number

i stomped on it on the on ramp to the highway where i am and pulled 18-19 psi, so that is crazy awesome if i am already chipped because that puts me closer to a turbo upgrade!! i will search, but JIC i don't find it, what is the max psi boost on a non-chipped a4?

 

oh okay... now the really hard question...

how do i find out what shop did the chip?

regardless, i'm super psyched about my car, but i'm just curious so i can plan the future!
