Oil on the spark plugs Help Help Help!
I recently noticed an increased consumption of oil by my car. Thought this could probably be due to it aging up (the car). Noticed that the exhaust looks like that of a diesel motor. No laziness by the engine nor rough idle. Noticed that my coil pack nearest the Timing belt end always almost dislodges itself every now and again. Today decided to have a look at my densos which are what is under the packs. Almost every denso has oil around the threaded area. Forced a dry rag down there and there is definitely a bothering amount of premium synthetic in every plughole. Is this an indication of a failing Cylinder Head gasket? I recently replaced the rocker cover gasket so it cannot be coming from the upper engine surely. If this is a failed/failing cylinder head gasket, what sort of bank account dent am I looking at. Looking at the basics, this might be the piston rings that are beginning to let oil sip into the cylinders. I am in love with my motor and I did not dream losing it this way!Pissed off big time!

Thanks Audi Tek, I have just changed my valve cover gasket today. I used the specifications of the HAYNES manual i.e the order of tightening the bolts and the torque which should be applied (10 Nm) according to my haynes. Iwill freak the automobil for a few hundreds miles and check the plugs again.
In the process of doing the above, I discovered another problem coming my way. There is coolant sipage on the coolant flange at the back of my engine block right next to the coolant temp sensor/sender. It is not leaking loads but I could see the distinctive build up of the G12 suggesting a slow leak. How difficult is it to fix this and what do I need please? A write up with pics will be very appreciated. I am going to attach a pic of the flange.
