Question OIL CHANGE! Mobil1 Filter? PICS!

Here's $75 at Advanced Auto Parts!

It was $29.99 for 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a Mobil 1 filter (what a deal!). The rest of the cost was in some other parts...new filter wrench, new oil pan, new funnel, 2 cans of SeaFoam (on sale!) and some plate covers.

Mobil 1 0W-40 was supposed to be $7.51 a quart and the filter was $12.99 by itself so it just made sense to go for the package deal. I know I keep reading that OEM filter is the way to go...but are Mobil 1 filters bad? Are they on par with the OEM filters?

Do I need to just set it aside and spend the $9 on an OEM filter?

Thanks guys.

The 3.0 is also within hand reach, use the I'm gonna choke the **** out of you grip, the oil amount is 6 and 3/4 quarts and the quality is depending on the weather: 0W40 for colder weather and 5W40 for hottest, full synthetic on both.

Do you need to elevate the car to drain and replace the filter on an 02 3.0L. I'd like to start doing this myself too since dealer costs about $85 for an oil change. Also, do you need a new drain plug with every change? Thanks!
