My flashers and alarm is going off
I have an 05 A4 2.0 sedan. My alarm and flasher is going off for no reason. I replaced my battery (had to do it anyway) and my trunk latch wasn't working so I replaced that also. I tried to reset the tilt sensor but still my alarm goes off with about 20 beeps and stops but the flashers keep going rapidly (not like the normal hazard flashing speed). I also ran an OBD2 reader but I am not pulling any codes. I am puzzled. There didn't didn't appear to be any corrosion or moisture around the boot either.
So I don't know. Anyone got some ideas they can shoot at me?

I have determined that when I open and close the door (it doesn't matter which one) the flasher and alarm goes off. I removed the alarm and it the flashers still go off. I believe this is the motion sensor now. I have looked at many threads and google searched and I can't figure out where the motion sensor is now.
Can anyone help me with that part. I think I can lick this if I can just get a little guidance on it.

You will need more than a generic code reader. You will need at least a Vag Com set up to communicate with all modules.
A OBD reader only communicates with the ECM & maybe the TCM. You will not find what you are looking for in either of those modules.

I was able to expose the comfort. I ran the fan on it the past couple of days. Fortunately I had another car to use. But my flashers are still going off. I want to disconnect the whole unit and take it out but for the life of me, I can't figure how to disconnect it. I don't want to break it either. Just want to see if maybe I can open it up to dry and clean it and then put back in. Do you know how to get it out?
