Missfire HELP
#12
You know what's kind of bugging me is that oil in your plugs. I asked around to the mechanics I know and every single one told me that usually the piston ring goes bad and this happes, I really doubt that's why you have oil on your plugs. But hopefully it was just caused by the missfire somehow.

I think he means the valve cover gasket was bad and it leaked oil in the area around the plugs and coil packs. I had that problem. Ruined a coil pack. It all started with a burning oil smell while sitting at a stop lite. Later came misfires.....Got the code and had misfire plug 1 and 3 and also had lean mixture...2 bad check valves.

Yea I think the dealer might have got some oil in there when they changed the cam tensioner.
I cleaned all the oil up replaced the plugs and as soon as the idle kicked down it started misfiring.
I don't know maybe clean the MAF. After that to the dealer.
