Default Misfire P0301

Hello guys!!

While i was driving home, on the road and started changing gears i notice when i pres on the gas car starts to shake so i though of bad gas, so i kept driving but this was going on and on till i got the check engine light on. So i took it to the advance to check the cel and comes up misfire in cylinder one P0301.Also the check engine flashes it doesn't stay on. so i bought the spark plugs and i change it but still car works the same way. So now im thinking of getting the coils maybe that will fix the problem.

I been researching and i see a lot of cars got this problem, but so far on mine shows online one code and not like i been reading on forums where they have more than one..

If anyone gone through this i would really appreciate the help or the idea so i can get the car back on the road..

Thanks.

Either get them all swapped out from the dealer for the recall or put in the hitachi bolt downs if you can't or have already done the recall.

Use the search function...

Default Update

Well after doing little research and changing the spark plugs, was time to check out the coils. so i did. I change it only one started driving the car around for test, still was doing the same thing so i connect the computer and find out that another code comes out p0303 so i went to VW and bought all the coils again which they were 20 $$ each. So now car runs fine

Default 4 new coils

the exact same thing happened to me.......... i was driving around and my 04 Audi A4 started spitting a sputtering. I thought something major was wrong. I took my car to a local shop and they replaced one coil for 130.00. they charged me 40 dollars for just the coil, everything else is labor. I will not go back to that shop.

a day later i had the same problem, so i took it to Advanced Auto Parts and instead of cylinder #3 miss firing it was #1 cylinder. So I bought 4 coils and 4 spark plugs and changed them my self.

You can buy a set of bolt down Hitachi's from ECS. They come highly recommended.
