Hey guys i'm looking to buy a 2005 Audi A4 just wondering if i can get some general ideas of what i should be looking for and checking before doing so. I'm not new with working on cars so i can check out just about anything only thing i currently don't have is a scanner anymore. Any info you guys can give me for what i need to check i would really appreciate it. I'm new to the audi world but have heard good things about them and i really like the car just don't wanna be spending this much on a used car without knowing what kind of problems they are prone to. I have an 04, but these still might want you to check it out. My audi 1.8t is at 79k and I've had to replaced my oil pressure regulator, transmission control module, timing belt/water pump, engine seals, coolant flange. All this is about $5-6000 worth of work. Some of the work was on my warranty but I personally put out $4000 out of pocket. So I'd look into these things before you buy it.

I bought an Audi because I heard great things but now I'm not so sure...good luck.
