225/40R18? Are you looking for stretch, or just a tire size? 215/40s would prob fit better but you'd be stretching real well on those wide wheels. I like your car's altitude adjustment!

Its actually not my car but a real good freind whom I do work for. Specs on the car are vogtland coil overs, zimmerman drilled front and rear rotors, awe full exhaust, giac chip, carbino (sp?) intake.

So you are looking for 2 sizes of the same height but different width? Or are you worried about the stretch changing sidewall height. If it's the latter I don't have any suggestion, but your B6 Torsen diff, I believe, is able to distribute power up to 60/40, which should be enough compensation. Please, correct me if I'm mistaken.

Its actually my car....

What we were talking about (and worried about) is running an 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. Right now the wheels are set with 205/40's in the front and 225/40's in the rear.

Have a wider wheel in the rear, you need a little thicer tire correct?
How much thicker do I need to go?

The 205/40s measure out to 24.4566" tall, while the 225/40s measure out to 25.0866" tall. That's over 1/2 an inch. A 205/45 would be the same width as the 205/40 but 25.2637" tall, which is less than a 1/4" taller than the 225/40 . That's as close as I can see getting on paper and the quattro should be fine.
