Default Limp-Home Mode / repeated stalling

Any idea how many different problems cause the car to go into this mode? It has happened nine times at least. Just had yet another $700 repair a week ago and today it is stalling again. Check engine light on, etc.

I am losing confidence in my mechanic and I need advice. At the end of my rope. Once it was an oxygen sensor, seems like there are many different problems that cause the car to stall and go in limp home mode.

Any thoughts?

i would take it to autozone and have them scan your car for free! Yes FREEE!!!! Then post up what codes are being thrown.... I would think if your car going into limp mode u might have a huge vac leak. . .

Have you ever replaced the crank position sensor?

A faulty sensor would throw the car into limp mode along with illumianiting CEL and EPC lights.
