its not slipping at all, i dont really think the clutch is bad at all, i am just weighing my options for future refrences... my car only has 43,500 miles on it, how long can these clutches be predicted to last? given it is not severly beaten on?

driven right it should last well over 150k...
there is a guy on audizine with bad cat converters, he was going to DIY until he looked at it lol!
and now that ive done one.. if i had all the stuff... 6 hour job tops maybe 5......butthose beer breaks always slow me down though[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

ok I have recently been finding a lot of posts stating that the cats on the 3.0 go bad... one, how would I tell? would there be a cel or a code? and B doesn't audi waranty their emissions for 8 years?

just FIY, i revved mine to 6K yesterday and dumped it (clutch is finally broke in!) with the FE SS and all it did it was kick sideways (stasis diff) spinning the rears then sent power to the front and pulled out of it.... not a even a hint of clutch slip
