letter from Audi of America

I didn't get one of these letters ... does anybody know if it applies to the 3.0?

In the letter i got it doesnt say anything abouth the engine, it jut says 2001-2004 model years.

The letter I got said it was a recall, it said SOME models are bad. They ran a few tests and said I was alright.
I have an 02 under 60K, so we will see once I get up around 100K.

I have a 1.8t, and I received the letter. I'm guessing that if you haven't received a notice from AOA, that you didn't buy your car from a dealer.

I bought mine straight from the previous owner, and my letter showed up yesterday. The only records AoA would have of me is the couple times I've picked up parts from the local stealerships.

im sure they got your information from the DMV, doesnt that make more sense? i bought my car from a used car dealership, non-audi.

Didn't get my 03' A4 1.8t Q from a dealer and got the "letter" last week for AOA......looks like an extended warranty on a emission control device. Sounds like itsensor doeseffect the engine preformance if it fails.
