Left brake light out (Not)
I purchased a 2004 A4 1.8L Turbo. In the dash there was an indicator light telling me that the left rear brake light was not working. A short inspection (looking at the light when someone else pressed the brake pedal) let me know that the message in the dash was incorrect.
I purchased a used replacement Comfort Control Module (8E0 907 279 F) off Ebay, the replacement being a 8E0 907 279 E, and replaced the OEM unit.
The brake light still works, I no longer have the indicator light telling me the left brake light is not working.
It was an easy repair. Took about an hour.
I just posted the procedure under "2004 A4 comfort control module location”.
