Ok...need more info....
Ok man, you have asked questions, and this thread has gone off the wrong way... As stated numerous times.... DO YOU HAVE A QUADTRO.... Look on the back under your 1.8T emblem... do you see a Quadtro badge? If not, you have CVT, which means you HAVE TO DO maintenance before all the snazzy crap.. Not a lot of good your new Audi with your new 18" rims is going to do setting in your parking spot... I guess you could stay the night in it....
But for real, start with the HAVE TO's!!!
First off, check RECALLS!!!! RECALLS!!! and TSB's!!!!
02 84 1.8 has issues with Coolant flanges that crack abd break, Coil Packs that go bad and throw CEL, bad brake light switches, oil sludge issues...
If I were you I would do:
Timing belt check
Oil change with full synth
Fuel filter change
air filter change
Fuel Injector cleaning - NOT THE ADDATIVE CRAP, ACTUAL CLEANING.....
Check Plugs and wires for corrosion
and if you DO HAVE a CVT....
Change the CVT transmission oil... Cost is $20 a qt, but better to take precationary measures to save your CVT before it goes out...
.....Again, this is what I would do.... Don't wanna crush your dreams of ricing up a beautiful German car, but bro.. I would make sure you keep your car running before throwing a bunch of aftermarket stuff on it...
