intalling podi question
so i got my kit in the mail from podi today. everything looks great, but im confused on one thing. i ordered the red digital version, not the standard version, and in reading the installation instructions they are only for the standard gauge. the standard gauge comes with a wiring harness that just plugs into the back of it, the digital version has three wires (two hots and a ground) so my question is this (papachristou i know you said you have the digital one as well so im sure you can help) the installation instructions have you splice into the grey/blue dimmer wire using the white wire from the harness (which i dont have) and then grounding with the black wire. well, i have three short wires coming out of the back of my gauge, so common sense tells me use one of the hots, splice a longer section to it and connect it to the grey/blue wire. then do the same with my ground wire, but wait.... theres one more wire, is this a neutral? should i just cap this, or does it go somewhere too?(which im assuming it must) i understand completely how to wire houses, but have never wired anything up to a car. if its like residential wiring, the third would usually be neutral, and could just be connected to the same place as the ground depending on if its 220/240 or not. is this the case? anyways im obviously lost and any help is greatly appreciated as always. thanks in advance.

RE: intalling podi question
im going to do mine too...i PM'ed winston a few weeks ago about the digital gauge,. here is his response
Hi Chris,
You only need to use the black and red wires as the brightness level 2 is more than adequate for day and nighttime driving.
You need to tap into a grey wire with blue stripe from the headlight switch harness for switched 12V. I started a thread on that a couple of weeks back when trying to install the new VEI gauges.
You can also tap out of you fusebox for a switched 12V source as well.

RE: intalling podi question
so i went out for a movie and when i came home i had an email from winston, it reads as follows
I haven't uploaded the new install guides on the website yet but the setup
is very simple.
You ignore the green wire and just use the red and black.
Red goes to a switched 12V source and and black to a ground. I ended up
tapping a fuse for my setup but I am told there is a switched 12V source
right at the steering column. Supposed to be a pretty thick red wire that
you can tap to.
Regards,
Winston
so i think im gonna try to to tap the thick red wire, also, heres the link to his thread on zine
