Talking I fixed it.!!!

well a week ago i got the RED OIL can light. after reading so many threads from different forums, came to the conclusion that...

1. wrong oil type/weight
2. oil pressure sensor
3. and wire gremlins
4. low/high oil pressure

these are some of the items that cause this light to come on so i had pressure checked. it came out good.

so i replaced with a different oil pressure switch and new mobile1 0-40w synthetic and oil level sensor. and now the light went away! so thanks to all the threads. my audi dealer in wayzata, mn. i saved lots of $$$ doing these things in my garage. so thanks guys.

Of the three actions you took (and two parts you replaced), which one really solved the problem? Congratulations, by the way. You are now the North American subject matter expert on this problem.

i think the main two things i did that solved it was the oil i used and the sensor. i didnt reallized Audi recommends 0-40w when i used 5-30w. sythetic.
